Warm Fuzzies

What's a Warm Fuzzi and how do I get one?
(REVISED SEPT 30, 2010)

Pin them on your jacket or stick 'm on your fridge... these Fuzzies are warm anywhere! Warm Fuzzies are little buttons that are cute and fuzzi. They are on a mission to spread happiness and smiles to anyone that comes near them. Their powers are strong and long-lasting... don't go another day without one. They are your daily defense against the nasty grumpaloos and fight the sad lows with a fierce determination. Do you know someone who can use a portable hug?

Warm Fuzzies are small, about 1.25" across, and are mounted on a custom-made pin-back button. They can be worn on your jacket or scarf and they also look great on your purse or bike-bag. These little guys are also easily converted to a fridge magnet with the help of a rare-earth magnet that we have available as well.

We have talked it over and we think that $3 each (CDN) is a fair intro price for a Warm Fuzzi. We'll also have magnets available for 25 cents each.

However...there is a catch: You will have to drop by my studio during the Eastside Culture Crawl to get one at the special Crawl price of $3 each. The Eastside Culture Crawl is an amazing FREE 3-day arts fest which runs November 26-27-28 this year. Drop by my studio and say hi. I will also have all the Fuzzi Faux Fur items on display and for sale... stay tuned for special show discounts. Follow me on Twitter and get updates and the DAILY FUZZI every day.

PS: If you really can't wait to have a Warm Fuzzi, or can't make it to my studio during the Eastside Culture Crawl, drop me a line and I can see what I can do for you.

The Warm Fuzzies will make their debut on my promotional materials for the Eastside Culture Crawl press kits. I have featured both the Fuzzi Faux Fur and my Pandora's Museum sculptures in the printed material. Fourty-five little cuties will go out into the big world spreading Fuzzi love everywhere! ;)

Check back here for your chance to get your hands on them yourself.

CREATING A WARM FUZZI

< Creating a Warm Fuzzi takes a surprisingly lot of time. There are a lot of different elements that make up one of these little guys. From the custom backing to the hand-tied bows, it helps to stay organized. I have found that starting with preparing all the little elements before hand and keeping them in little cups on a handy tray works out the best. Don't let the tidy set-up fool you... it gets messy and creative real soon.

Oogly-googly eyes are sorted by size and colour. I make sure there are matching pairs of eyes... cyclopes are not as friendly as fuzzies! I have about 200 pairs ready to go. Although I won't need that many, this time, I love having all the options available to me. >

FuzziBows.jpg

< About a hundred little bows in seven different varieties for dressing up the Warm Fuzzies. I hand-tied them all with a tiny pair of tweezers and a boat-load of patience. Just loved the colours and the joy a little bow can bring... too cute!

On the right are the blue fuzzies just after they received their smiles. The faux fur is mounted onto custom pin-back buttons that will also receive a magnet. A good base is essential... even for these little guys!   >

<  A whole table full of Blues. Look at 'm smiling... I love it. There are so many different personalities here that it will be hard picking the one(s) I will want to keep for myself.

< The Whites are ready to receive their smiles. All of them lining up to be first. These ones are made with long-haired faux fur and will look a lot different than the Blues!

After the Whites have had their smiles added, they look very ghost-like and almost a little creepy. But wait until you see them with theirs eyes on... sigh!   >

< A whole pile of white fuzzi love. So cute, I am not sure if I can even part with one of them. Nah... this much Fuzzi Power must be shared. :)

Adoption dates and prices coming soon.
