Lucan like his brother,
Kendrick, is one of a pair of portraits created, at first, as an experiment. The artist was so happy with the
results that she has continued with this technique. Unlike the faux fur pieces in the other collections,
the hairs on this piece have not been cut but only
manipulated and fixed. Lucan is named in the Old English meaning "bringer of light". His name is fitting since the
brightness of the fun fur is like the sun and the light is reflected in his glass eyes. Made faux fun
fur, glass beads, and glass marbles. Lucan's face measures approximately 12" square. The portrait is mounted on matte
